May 2012
My wife Melissa and I traveled to the UK in May 2012 to shoot a wedding about 1.5 hours outside London in a beautiful town called Cowley. This video shows another one of my fun personal challenges. It was my first time shooting anything with a real gun. So much fun!

i love Skeet shooting! you got the hang of it fast too! SOLID!
Please don’t forget the poor clay pigeons, they didn’t stand a chance!!!;-)
since when??? I’ve been shooting for years, does this mean we’re blasting when you’re here? Good on ya!!
Thats pretty fun. Actually my first time doing skeet and trap shooting was the morning of a wedding shoot I did in Seattle. The groom (a fine vet surgeon) is big into skeet shooting and invited his friends and sons to go shooting. I went to cover that story of his day. They invited me to shoot a couple of rounds. I did nail the first two, but was not able to get anymore clays after that. It is definitely a challenging skill to acquire, especially those that launch two at a time coming from different directions and angles. Oh, and by the way…expect your shoulder to be in some pain
Good for you Jerry…
Oh this is cool
just wanted to share similar experience, last summer I had to photograph weddings in California on huge 400 acre boys (groomsman) right before ceremony hired professional and where shooting a gun, so I got to shoot with them.. I was keep switching between camera and real gun..
Definitely a difficult skill to master. I find it like ice skating, just when you start to get good at it, you’ve run out of time!!!
